ICAP Children’s Arts Education Program is committed to celebrating the creativity in every child by expanding access to the arts to all children and their communities. ICAP provides hands-on learning experiences by combining the arts with science, history, peace skills, environmental studies, and literacy.
We believe that by exposing children to the arts we can empower the development of their creative and expressive skills to help them become active doers as well as critical and analytical viewers of the world. Through the Children’s Education Program we provide an opportunity for young people and their families to access the tools that promote self-expression through visual and performing arts. Certified educators and artists, both within our arts program and the community at-large, teach our hands-on arts programs. We exhibit children’s art through film festivals, workshops, and partnerships with the community to improve the participants' collective circumstances, and create a positive, lasting impression about learning through the arts.
During the last week of July we host an all girl's empowerment program. No girl will be turn down for registration regardless of economic background.
